Our families are full of avid outdoorsmen and hunters who rely heavily on good gear. We decided to sell a variety of high quality outdoor equipment in order to supply hard working, self-reliant people like them.
Gregory and Amy Sprading know that making ends meet is important, but true independence will come from building something that is their own, and knowing that every transaction is a reflection of who they are and what they believe in. “Amy and I have both worked hard our entire lives,” proudly states Gregory, “and with the uncertainty of the job market, I wanted to ensure that I could continue to be self-sufficient.
Gregory and Amy stock a wide variety of American Made outdoor gear designed to deliver exceptional performance and lots of bang for the buck. There’s no denying that Gregory and Amy know the value of a dollar. “I started mowing grass for about $2.00 per yard when I was 12 years old,” recalls Gregory. My first ‘real job’ was in a small town grocery store making $2.85 per hour when I was 17. I worked there for 5 years and put myself through college. For a majority of that time I lived in my brother’s garage. I was promoted to manager in the 4th year of that job and got a whopping $5.00 an hour salary. In 1986 I got my first ‘high paying’ job as a computer programmer for $17,143 per year. We thought we were rich!
“I have been blessed with the ability to work from home,” Gregory humbly shares. “Being more accessible to my boys has been a big deal. It's great to wait outside with a basketball under your arm as your son hops off the bus and sees you waiting for a game of one-on-one. And now, with more government intrusion into education via Common Core we have decided to home school our 11 year old.” The Spradings are about God, family and country all the way.
When asked for his business philosophy, Gregory doesn’t hesitate for a second and offers this: “I think the Christian principles of freedom, self-reliance, hard work, and determination are the real drivers behind our business. The scripture verse that has inspired me during my entire life is Colossians 3:23: ‘Whatever you do, put your whole heart and soul into it, as into work done for God.’”
