As the owner of Creative Learning Connection, a mother of 12 and someone who has been a home educator for over 30 years, Catherine Jaime knows what she’s talking about. Having written and developed over 150 different learning materials--everything from lap books, unit studies, educational games, introductory travel books, and comprehensive guides to people like Leonardo da Vinci and William Shakespeare—Catherine has dedicated herself to helping home educators engage their kids.

"The idea is to support home schoolers—we can do that in person, online, and literally around the world,” says Catherine.

“I don’t want to ‘school’ my kids. I want to help them get an education.”

 Having graduated from MIT, education has been an enormous part of Catherine’s life.

“My husband and I met at MIT,” asserts Catherine, “and we both feel that we got to MIT in spite of our public school educations, not because of it.” As Catherine puts it, “I love teaching kids, especially outside the confines of the black and white page."
